Help Portrait

I got an email from my friend Gabriela Herman this morning talking about going to a meeting to discuss a movement know as Help Portrait.

The jist is on Dec 12 find someone in need and help them by taking their picture and giving it to them. It sounds great to me. In a time of self absorption and worrying about budgets/clients/the next job this is a chance to reflect and do something altruistic through photography.

A letter from my Parents.

Simon,

As you drive through the last leg of your trip, Mom and I would like to congratulate you on this extraordinary achievement. We are sure you have collected many great stories, created some yourself, and taken some wonderful and dramatic photographs. We cannot wait to listen to all of your adventures and see the photos.

We know it took a lot of courage and determination to carry out something like this. This is a first in the Biswas, Barnes and Almaral families, so you certainly created some family history and we are very proud.

It had to be a fantastic trip when Joel said he was a "bit jealous"!
